What Gathers Us Together
Each Sister of St. Joseph has responded to a call to dedicate
her life in a special way to Christ and his kingdom of love
in our world. She has done this along with others who live
a similar spirituality and a similar depth of desire: the
shared goal to bring about the unity expressed in Jesus' prayer
at the Last Supper: "That all may be one."
Our spirituality, then, is a spirituality of relationships:
- our relationship with God
- our relationship with one another and with all people
- our relationship with all of God's creation
Active and inclusive love animate all of these relationships.
Our founder, Jean-Pierre Médaille, challenged us to be known
as "The Congregation of Great Love."
We gather together as a Federation for one main purpose
expressed in our mission statement:
United by a common story and
charism
we form a Federation
whose purpose is
to focus and empower one another
in the passionate living of our mission
of active and inclusive love. |
