August 2003

Sojourners in Active and Inclusive Love:

A new name for a group of our Sisters who have been gathering annually for renewal.

In August 2002 presentations were made by Sr. Ellen Leonard (Toronto), and Sr. Nicole Aube (Pembroke). One outstanding quote from the sessions was by Thomas Berry: "The human community and the natural world will go into the future as a single sacred community or we will both perish." Recommended reading included "Life Abundant" by Sally McFague, and a video "Abandon the Word or Embrace It" by Dairmuid O’Murchu. Both sources help to expand thought on the interrelatedness of all things.

Date: Friday, August 15,2003 Welcome 7pm
Ending: Monday, August 18, with lunch at noon.
Place: St. Joseph's Convent,
2025 Main Street West,
North Bay. P1B 2X6
Deadline date for registration June 13, 2003.
