St. Joseph International Centre
A dream has become reality ! The Saint Joseph International
Centre in Le Puy is open!
On October 15, 2004 Mary Diesbourg, Josette Gocella, and
Sheila Holly were commissioned to help us bring alive our
vision of creating a future where all may be one.They enthusiastically
accepted their new mission to be women of hospitality and
active inclusive love as they welcome our sisters, associates
and friends to the International Centre in Le Puy. Rooted
in the land of our origins the Centre team will find ways
to bring our charism alive with an ever widening global focus
. The global dimension of the Sisters of St. Joseph was already
evident at the opening ceremony by the presence of sisters
from around the world : representatives of the French, Italian,
Canadian and American federations, of the international congregations
of Lyon,Chambery and Annecy as well as sisters from the Le
Puy area.
All joined in a beautiful ritual of blessing the house and
then continued the celebration of this momentous occasion
at a simple reception.
