Rio+20 Conference in Brazil – June 2012
Sisters Joan Atkinson and Sue Wilson from our Federation Office for Systemic Justice will be joined by Sister Linda Gregg, member of the Federation Ecology Committee, to travel to Rio de Janeiro in June to attend the above conference. This is an initiative of the Global Justice and Peace Team of the Congregations of St. Joseph in collaboration with our UN-NGO Office. The conference will be attended by a delegation of 22 Sisters of St. Joseph, with strong representation from Latin America. An opportunity for political advocacy with regard to ethical issues, it will also strengthen our capacity for working together globally on critical issues.
