In his classic Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis
said: If you picture time as a straight line along
which we have to travel, then you must picture God as the
whole page upon which that line is drawn. Lewis
observation is particularly striking to me as I reflect on
the last 10 years, since I became a part of a small group
of Associate Women (Eagles Wings) in Chatham.
My name is Rosalind Braganza. Married to Norm for 33
years, we have two wonderful sons: David who lives and
works in Puerto Rico; and Warren lives in Windsor with
his wife Sarah.
In 1994 I was asked to help in the formation of the Chatham
group of Associates. Our group has gone through some
real growing pains, but with the grace of God and Sister Doreen,
we have managed to survive. We have two wonderful Sisters,
two wonderful ladies and myself. Sister Doreen has been
instrumental on my journey. Her dedication and love
for the Associates helps to keep me motivated and remain committed
to my calling.
My spiritual journey is also enhanced by my involvement in
my parish and community. My daily prayer and relationship
with the Lord remain a priority.
My high point of being an Associate of the Sisters of St.
Joseph comes each year when we all get together with the larger
group at Oxley Retreat House. It restores me and gives
me a sense of living in His presence.
