As we mark the 60th anniversary since the creation of the Federation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Canada (on September 20, 1966), we honour the six foundresses who lovingly and wisely came together as one and whose vision continues to guide us today: Mother Maura of Toronto, Mother Alacoque of Hamilton, Mother Julia of London, Mother St. Rose of Peterborough, Mother Mary of Pembroke, and Mother St. Edward of Sault Ste. Marie.
As noted by our Federation President Sr. Mary Jo Radey in the most recent Federation newsletter, “these past 60 years are remarkable in so many ways…let us live out this Diamond Jubilee believing at the core of our beings, that each of us is a “divine sparkle” and collectively we bring God’s light to the world more brightly as a Federation than we ever could have standing alone”.
Wishing a wonderful and joyous 60th Jubilee to our entire Federation Family!
