In this recent blog post, Sr. Sue Wilson points out that while “many governments have an ethics commissioner … to ensure that public offices avoid conflicts of interest”, they do not offer ethical evaluations of public policies and choices. As Sister notes, it is “up to us to pay attention to what governments are doing”. Three recent public policies decisions are presented in this blog which describes how some of the people in Ontario with the lowest income are impacted the most by government policies.
